At Creatives Unboxed, we believe creativity is a gift—not a threat. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to help creatives win where others quit. We exist to empower artists, thinkers, and dreamers to rise above the noise, push past limits, and create from a place of truth.

Why We Exist

Creatives Unboxed was born from the personal journey of our founder, Shauntey Jonell Walker, MPAff—a multi-passionate artist, speaker, and advocate for authentic expression. After spending years feeling misunderstood, boxed in, and told to dim her light to fit into rigid environments, Shauntey experienced a season of deep isolation. But that season became her greatest teacher.

“I started second-guessing the gifts inside of me,” she says. “But it was in the silence that I heard my true voice again.”

Instead of hiding, she chose to speak up. Instead of fitting in, she decided to stand out—and to help other creatives do the same.

What We Do

Creatives Unboxed is more than a platform—it’s a movement. Through podcasts, events, digital content, and consulting, we’re here to give creatives the tools, language, and confidence to live outside the box. We talk real issues. We share real stories. And we help people tap into their power, not suppress it.

So, we hear all this talk about creatives—but who or what is a creative?

That’s a great question.

​

Everyone has the ability to “create,” but at Creatives Unboxed, we empower creatives who want to use their ideas and talents to bring change around them. Hence our tagline: Create. Impact. Change.

 

We believe that real change starts from within. Just like an apple seed needs time and process before it produces fruit, the creative journey is a lifetime evolution. Growth takes time—and we’re here to walk with you through it.

If we were to give a definition, we’d use Oxford’s:

Creative (adj) – relating to or involving the imagination or original ideas, especially in the production of an artistic work.

​

But we don’t box it in. A creative isn’t just a painter or a musician. Creatives are innovators—the minds behind the things you use, feel, and are inspired by every day.

 

At Creatives Unboxed, our goal is to help you navigate the life moments that try to block your flow so you can get those ideas out of your head and into action.
